Lol, who the hell really plays on name tag enabled servers anyway? Nothing screams KILL ME like a green billboard (with built in rangefinder) floating above your head...

Because you die too easily on expert/veteran servers....

Loosing 500 blood/sec due to bleeding is ridiculous. 100/sec on Regular servers is more acceptable.

Some people just don't wan't hardcore shiz that makes the game more frustrating than it already is.

If that makes me a Noob then I will gladly noob myself to deaths door and back.

Odd, my lifespan has increased dramatically since I began playing only on Veteran servers...must be because I'm not running around the map with a giant green billboard / nametag / rangefinder floating magically above my head which announces to anyone looking near my direction "HAI.....I'm over here! Behind the rock. No, not that rock, THIS rock right here.....\o/.....\o/.....can you see me NOW"?

I wonder if that has anything to do with it.....

I should have figured there would be more douchers commenting on how "you suck I could have killed him no prob bro" than having something constructive to add.

Time for you guys to go back to 4chan.

ignore teh trolls....

Getting a headshot on a prone target that is on an elevated position to you at 500m is LUDICROUSLY difficult....

Shooting to or from an elevated position at extreme ranges screws with your zeroing....

Even if you took the shot you had to hit the head. Hitting the body or missing and he is going to log out anyway....

lol @ noobfags defending nametags

In my defense I usually don't play on servers with nametags. Just happened to choose that server at random because of the low ping and high player count.

I play on tag name enabled server.

I use fraps and when I start to shoot someone I start record, so I can give a proof to ban an idiot.

That's the only things that keeps me playing.

I Like to know who I'm shooting at.

Spotting players with the mouse over is actually an extremely retarded thing to do, and only really works once you have had a player spotted for several seconds...

Much better to rely on sight/sound, though there are exceptions.

but whatever, I like regular difficulty.

I AM A NOOB AND YOU CAN'T STOP ME MUHAHAHA!

It's not though. I killed two players who I never even SAW. Just two floating names in a tree behind me, blam blam at the branches and nobody was stalking me anymore. I'm not arguing that all servers should be veteran, just that nametags should be abolished from the game at some point (if it's after the end of BETA I can live with that) but they really have no place in a game that is trying so hard to sell itself as "authentic".

Those sound like hacked items right there.

No I just happened to turn around toward the way I came (as I often do) and caught a flash of a name in a tree behind me and when I looked back to the tree there was another name. They were obscured, behind a tree I'd just walked past moments before. I dunno, gee must have followed me away from Balota hangars. Couple bursts into the tree and they were dead. I killed two people who I had never even laid eyes on alive. I just shot a bit below their nametags and they magically died.

That was pretty much the day I started playing on no nametags servers. If you like em that's fine, I just don't think enough people realize how silly they are in the context of this game. If gritty and "authentic" is what the dev's are admittedly going for, nametags do not fit the bill.

I like Tags cause it helps me to avoid people. I hate Tags cause it makes my attempts of never being seen pointless.

Name tags, Third Person and non-veteran servers are game breakers.

The game is meant to be hard.

You shouldn't be able to see over/around walls without exposing yourself.

You're retarded for wanting it to take 50 shots to kill someone/die. It should be 1-3 shots = dead. If you die it's because you're not being careful enough.

fucking noobs, gtfo with your "game is too dark" and "i liek to no their namez" bullshit.

i hate the name tags, but you pretty much need them if you are running around with more than one friend to avoid either shooting them by mistake or letting someone waste you because you thought that was your buddy that had wandered off in that direction.

i was in a 7man group of players the other day, including several new players that had zero movement discipline, i would have killed them all out of reflex if they didnt have nametags on.
