How do you change your ingame char name? For some reason it chose my first name alex somehow.....even though i never put it in.

ArmAII uses your operating system's username by default, go to profiles on the main menu to make a new one. (I assume this makes a new char for DayZ but I haven't done it myself)

So is there anyway or does it make a new char cause i dont want to lose my stuff on my char.

You won't lose any stuff of your character. It's not tied to your profile, it uses your game ID to identify you.

Next time you create new thread please make the topic more informative.. "How do you?" doesn't tell anything about the content of this thread.

You should also use sixupdater or sth similar so you don't have to switch profiles every time you start the game (since it normally starts with your username-profile active and there's no way to get rid off/change it.

What? You dont need 6U to do that as you lstart the game with the profile you quit it with.

I made a new profile and it has started with that new profile ever since.
