MeatAbstract 47 Posted July 18, 2012 I have to agree with this. People have game ADD. For example, Skyrim. There was so much hype about Skyrim coming out, and everyone was so excited for it. I got the game a month and a half after it came out. I was talking with some friends when I got it, and all they had to say to me was "that game is old".I'll reply to this to atleast salvage something of interest from this thread. It is amazing how a game is hyped and hyped and hyped and finally its released, everyone relishes in its release for a week or two and then they move onto the next big release. It's almost like people prefer being part of the hype machine rather than playing the game itself. It's best to avoid hype. Take Batman: Arkham City for example. I can remember they started revealing stuff for that game well before its release date, they've even said it's out at the end of 2011 but it was over a year before they started showing screenshots and telling people little snippets. I understand why developes and publishes need to do this, but getting people so hyped up is just setting them up for a dissapointment. Ignore the hype and screens and info and make your own call when its released. The best thing about the sheer amount of game releases is how quickly game prices come down. LIMITID 28 Posted July 18, 2012 Wait people still play WOW even though I quit the game over two years ago because it sux? Don't they know who I am? Clearly if I am not playing the game it should be dead by now...

Their loss: I was still playing Skyrim until a week or two ago, when I got DayZ.
