I got an quad from a military airport and I was driving into an open field and stopped at some bushes... got off and looked at whats in it... some ammo I didn't need and some food

and then... when I just wanted to get back on...

That thing is loud enough and there are more ways to see at night than just nightvision. No matter what, you shouldn't stop in the middle of a field for any reason unless you're the only person on the server and the server is locked. You were also near one of the most trafficked areas of the map and it's known to be a haven for server hoppers.
