serpent10i 1 Posted July 17, 2012 It's a vanilla ArmA thing that is done by rank (from ArmA) it starts on the player called "group leader" in the briefing screen and then moves down the pre-made chain of command (Squad leader, 1st Fireteam Leader, 2nd Fireteam leader ect ect ect) Because of this in DayZ, with deaths, the chain gets moved down until it resets with the Group Leader again (based on who has died/who is currently alive) so it is nearly impossible to guess who has Group Lead.
