I need MUCH HELP

Ok so, I downloaded Arma 2 Combined operations and when i had finished downloading them i tried to play the game, It only starts but i dont even get in to the game ( I have it on steam) It just comes Arma 2 has stopped workin and the same happens to arma 2 operation arrowhead, But when i try to run the Arma 2 Combined operations a window ( looks like the Command prompt window ) just opens and closes and nothing else happens, Like a week before my Team frotress and Counter strike both just crashed after the valve intro, It says hl2.exe has stopped working, I think it is some how connected, and yeh i downloaded the six updater but when i run the setup.exe it only says non 7z archive... I tried to download the torrent files already but i need to launch the game to use that, PLEASE help me I have been watching gameplay videos on youtube for a long time and i soooooooo want to play this game !

I had this problem too, my solution was to re-download the installer and try that.
