Study Body Function not Working?

Supposedly this patch (1.7.2.x) was going to fix the study body function. We can now see the dead player's name, but it always reads, "His name was insert player name, it appears he died from" without actually saying the cause of death. Am I missing something or is the function not fully functional? Thanks guys!
