edandrew95 6 Posted July 17, 2012 So today, after being devoted to my Lee-Enfield rifle for so long. My friend spotted a helicopter crash site. Just minutes ago actually. While I crawled up to the heli despite the fact 20+ military zombies were hovering around. My friend picked them off if they got too close to me with a Winchester. When I finally reached my brand new AS50; naturally I picked it up. As soon as began to pick the gun of the ground. THWACK. Dead. Whilst picking up my long searched for high powered rifle. I was shot by non-other then a high powered rifle. 152 Zombie kills in 2 days. 69 head-shots. 6 player kills. I guess it's karma. Good shot sir!
Targeter_NL 39 Posted July 17, 2012 Too bad! I once found one too but then I accidentally dropped my backpack it was in and it dissappeared. Oh well.
G0V3RNM3NT4L 132 Posted July 17, 2012 It was probably a trap. It sounds like a good idea for my next robbing trap: place bear traps underneath the valuable loot and hide on a ridge maybe 200m away.
Sethen 62 Posted July 17, 2012 Not to sound to cruel but I usually park my vehicle in middle of open field near high population location baiting victims. While laying back in the cool, windy day holding a .50 CAL (AS50)
DayZPvP.com 143 Posted July 17, 2012 Fresh crashes are often camped. You just learned DayZ rule #236 the hard way.
Shiftyeyesshady 15 Posted July 17, 2012 The Enfield is great for killing other players, as common as the ammo is, I might actually be torn if I ran across a 50. I'd Still probably go with the 50 though. As an aside, if you have binoculars/scoped rifle, always scan the tree lines before going into an open field. If you manage to spot a sniper, you could end up with two 50 cals.
edandrew95 6 Posted July 17, 2012 I had binoculars and I did scan the tree lines actually. He must have been out of view when we were looking.
