Duplicate Server Names

Hey, hope i'm posting this in the right place. After finally getting my server up and running and informing my friends to come join they informed me there's a second server running under the same ID as mine.

I'm UK127, this is the ID i received in the email from the DayZ staff. I just wondered if this is a regular thing, or if the other server is using it with out permission. I just don't like the idea of if someone was to complain about their UK127 server and I get in trouble.

I'm new to DayZ servers (not servers in general) so i don't know how things go, for all i know i'm kicking up a fuss for nothing.

Likely the other server using w/o permission; it's very easy to change your servername, just edit your server.cfg >.>... I'd open a ticket with the devs.

Yeah i know how easy it is to set, which is what confused me since I know it's user set, not automated.

I've got the same problem. ViLayer gave me an instance, but there's already one up with the same instance name.

If you've got a hosting company, perhaps reach out to them?
