US 524 - Bulls**t by admins or hackers?

Recommended Posts

Let me describe what happened and if anyone can tell me how/why this events occurred that would be great.

*On server US 524 @ 12:00 midnight server time (it is dark) -- both of us have zero murders of any player at this point with 200+ zombie kills, we are far from bandits

A friend and I were in a Ural which we had repaired a few days ago... we had left our "home base" and been on the road for a while when we stopped to refuel our jerry-cans and the truck.... during this my buddy who was driving is "Kicked" from the game... no explanation.... no biggie, I watch the truck and wait for his respawn.

We both get back in and our on our way.... moments later we hear shots coming at the truck for us, so we take off and start driving away my friend is kicked again (he is driving) (his ping was <100, not spamming chat, no offensive name, or anything else people might get kicked for) .... well I hop in the drivers seat to continue away from where the shots are coming from and about 15 seconds later, I am kicked for no reason.

... we both log back in ASAP to get the truck and of course when we log in these bandits are waiting for us. My friend logs back in and finds his entire inventory has been deleted (guns, food, map, gps, etc etc) he runs to the truck and is able to pull a AKM and ammo out before they notice he isn't part of their group (there were 4-6 of these guys). He manages to gun down two of them before he is shot and killed. I am off in a field (since I was at full speed driving when I was kicked) so when I spawned I had a jump on them, and the instant I opened fire on the remaining bandits my screen when black and I ended up in the ocean.... about 20 seconds after that it said "YOU ARE DEAD"

.... so after all of that, was it admins running the server who wanted our gear so they booted us to take the truck easily?

Was it hackers who were kicking us to steal our stuff without a fight?

.... and has anyone else experienced this and/or know of Rocket has addressed this problem?

I have no problem with someone finding our gear or killing me and taking it in a legit way.... but if admins or hackers are booting people so they can loot them easily, that is bullsh*t.

*Rant over*

Hard to call. If an admin kicks someone isn't there a red text message saying who kicked him and why? if not, then who knows, but if that is supposed to come up, and didn't then my vote is on hackers. Can't imagine why a group of 5+ organized players would puss out like this though in general. What the hell is the point of assembling a fireteam and then skipping the fights?

What is the point of hacking/cheating in general? It is sad people who can't play the game and find enjoyment in killing people with little to no challenge. They don't want the experience, they just want the lulz.

My thoughts too.... Its one thing to get killed because you're sloppy or someone is just better than you, it is a whole other thing to lose your gear because you magically get logged out twice and sent to the ocean.

We still have 5 vehicles at our "home base" and we know the names of at least two of the others who made it away.... so it should just be a matter of time before we catch up to them again.

One thing I think would be really great (after this ordeal) is having something you can place on items, or "tag" items to be traced/tracked be your GPS..... like you leave loot that is "tagged" and then you can follow it via GPS .... end game would be to almost "bait" someone to leading you to their tent/vehicles where you can then loot them/recover lost or stolen items.

As far as I know, if you are kicked by an admin your message is "Kicked by admin" and then a reason

I am jealous of your success in DayZ.

I am jealous of your success in DayZ.

I can only attribute it to teamwork. I almost never play alone anymore, most every night I get some time with two other buddies and we're all on a vent server so coordinating our actions is much easier.... if they're not on I won't do much more than hunt and get food for the group, check deer stands, and scavenge remote areas for more car parts.

I will say our "home base" has become pretty great.... a little Oasis in the chaos of Chernarus

There are 6 of us who will play using this base, 3 play often (me being one of them) and three other more casual players.

We have 4 tents - Food/Drink Tent, Ammo tent, guns tent, med supply tent ..... each has only certain items in it for organization sake.

Two 4-wheelers

Bus

UAZ

Off-Road Pickup Truck

... and until yesterday a Ural.

We've done a few "peace" missions to the coast to pick-up random new players and get them on their way as well as having to put down a few other plays (not me personally), but I will say we've never shot at someone without being engaged upon first.

To live in Chernarus you best make friends.

Just wondering, how many vehicles spawn on servers? can it be altered?

Or do teams just hog all the stuff?

Teams definitely "hog all the stuff" which is why that's where you should look for vehicles, at player camps in remote areas. Northeast, northwest, at the dam. Of course, vehicles get stuck and crashed all the time so you will find them randomly in towns with shitty roads as well.

Sorry for quoting a tower, but it's hard to fix that in mobile. Anyways, do you ever have issues with your tents? Missing loot or whatever?

Knock on wood, so far no.

We thought we log a bunch of stuff one day, but it was just the tent was at capacity and dumping the loot like 30m away on the ground.... I stumbled on it by accident and freaked out that someone else was at our camp and dumped their goods.... turns out it was just the tent's "dump" spot.

I would agree that small groups get things and horde them. Once you have a working vehicle, getting more becomes much easier. First being able to travel quickly to the other vehicle spawns is a nice perk, also savaging for parts on foot is a huge PITA and hard since you need sooooo many open inventory slots to carry these items, opposed to having a car to get you to these places and then being able to load the found parts for the next vehicle inside your current one.

We had a skoda for a while and with us getting other vehicles better suited for off-road travel we drove the Skoda down to the west-side of elektro with food, soda, a AKM, G17, med supplies, and survival gear and just left it for some lucky new spawning character.... you're welcome BTW.
