Lags every 5 secons since yesterday ?!

Hey guys,

yesterday evening i joined several EU servers whiche were for some reason at night time, the first weird thing that happened was that the letters which show your location appeared very slowly, same for the sound, well since then i have bad laggs i was playing without any problems the last days with medium/high settings, now i turned everything to low, and it still is lagging ...

Any ideas ?

My game started randomly doing that a few days ago. Every 5 seconds or so there will be a very breif studder in the game, its not much, but I can notice it. Not sure why it started doing that, never had the problem till a few days ago.

Sound's like the servers needed a restart.

DayZ servers seem to suffer from memory leaks alot of the time ( not sure weather this is ARMA 2 related, or just DayZ ) and they have to be restarted in order for the memory leaks to be fixed.

Did you try and connect to a different server run by someone else and see if you still had the problem then?

This is actually a good point, just thought about trying that :)

EDIT: Yea seems to be server sided, joined another server and everything is running fine .

Huh, I'll have to try that. I've been playing on same server for the past couple of days. Makes sense, thx for the tip, Ill try another server after work and see what happens.
