My character won't stop shaking after Zombie attack - what to do?

Frist things first: I am absolutely new to this game and am now playing my third char.

I was able to find a hatchet, food and some cans of coke, meaning I'm still alive (yay!)

Two zombies jumped me on my way out of a village, I was able to fight them off and bandage myself, to stop the bleeding. Now my char is still shaking (from panic?) and won't stop. What can I do?

Painkillers is the answer? I don't think I got any.. :l Any other way to deal with the pain?
