So in the game there is a sort of "journal" option but it doesn't do much, just shows your current tasks. I think it would add to the atmosphere of DayZ if you included journals. Either given to you at the start or find them lying in houses and such. You could write about your experiences every now and then and when you died your journal would drop for someone else to find and read. I think it would be interesting to find a journal and read about the short life of a murderous bandit who killed a survivor in cold blood or a kindhearted survivor who helped fix a broken leg.

I just looked through the forums and I see this has been suggested quite a bit. Sorry I didn't check before.
