Suggestion for people who disconnect

Hey guys, I don't actually have the game but I've been watching my friend play for about a week, and I've seen countless people disconnect when they realise him shooting at them.

A simple way to combat this would be 'combat tagging.' If a person has been hit with a bullet within the last 5 minutes or so and logs out, they would have 30 or so seconds to log back in on that SAME server or their entire inventory drops.

Not sure if this has been suggested and I'm sorry if it has been, I looked and couldn't find anything. Cheers!

Much better is just plan old 10-30 seconds waiting time before log out.

The bad thing about the 10 secs waiting time would be if you get attacked by a player or zombie while logging out. A pain to the ass cause you are busy with logging out and not watching noobs running around...

This gets posted at least a dozen times every day.

I'm actually very much in favor of your overall suggestion. I think it needs to be a little more strict; logging out while wounded simply kills your character.
