TheDude8D 13 Posted July 17, 2012 I am thinking of buying a computer from a friend. It is used but in good condition. I am hoping this setup can run it on medium settings but low would be fine. Here are the specs:*SPECS*Tower:Thermaltake Element S Mid Size ChassisGraphics: ATI RADEON HD 5770 Graphics cardMotherboard: ASUS M5A97 AMD 970/SB950 ChipsetCPU:AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core ProcessorRAM:Patriot Memory 4GB(2x2GB) DDR3 1600 MHz G Series GAMING RAMPower Supply:Corsiar Professional Series Gold AX750W -- 80 PLUS® Gold Certified Fully-Modular Power SupplyCD/DVD:LG GH24LS70 Internal 24x Super-Multi DriveHard Drive:Samsung HD322HJ 320GB/7200rpm/16M Hard DriveI'm not very tech savvy! So if this computer won't be able to run this on at the very least low settings, what computer do y'all recommend? I'm on a budget so the cheapest one please:)
z-layrex 175 Posted July 17, 2012 (edited) The i5 2500k will provide you with far better gaming performance than anything from AMD in that price range. Edited July 17, 2012 by z-layrex

SkilzZ 23 Posted July 17, 2012 This PC should run Arma 2 on mid-high settings :AMD Phenom LL X4 965 3.4Ghz is pretty much a Beast, so this Part is Okey ;)ATI RADEON HD 5770 is a Low-Budget GPU, but she is not bad ;)4GB DDR-3 RAM with 1600Mhz are ok ;) I say u can run the Game on mid-high settings because i have the same graphics card but only a intel core i3 gpu, and i can run the game on middle settings ;)
simjedi 43 Posted July 17, 2012 (edited) Whatever you do make sure your vid card has more than 1 gig of ram on it. Arma 2 takes up about 1.5 gig on mine. Next gen is just around the bend in sight and you will regret not buying for it now.ETA: Go Intel. ArmA is very CPU dependent.
