Hacked items?

So last night i was crawling around Zub when i found a corpse of a player on the ground. When I looted him i found a lot of awesome gear, including a Revolver (gold)!

Upon telling my friend about my shiny new gun, he said that it was most likely 'hacked' in and by keeping it in my inventory I was running the risk of having my character deleted for having illegal gear, or even being banned.

So what do you guys think, will be it ok for me to keep it or will I have to drop it and find a more regular sidearm?

You don't keep the muder weapon no matter how innocent you are :( It can only draw you the wrong kind of attention, as bad ass as it might be.

Go to the official list of weapons on the wiki. If it's not there, toss it.

Thanks guys, it's now gone. I fired off a clip ceremoniously into the sky before departing with it though. :D
