FPS Lag Fix?

Recommended Posts

So, I've tried virtually everything I can think of, from specific launch lines, dusting out my (literally almost brand new) computer (only like 2 weeks old). Tweaking all the in game specs to a variety of options, low to high, in between, turning generically tasking features off, having the resolution set correctly.

Nothing really seems to help my FPS issue whatsoever. I haven't been able to go above 20 FPS yet, my average is around 10-15.

CPU: Phenom II x4 965 BE

GPU: Radeon HD 6750

4 gigs of RAM

Video settings while running DayZ: I set everything to very low and resolutions of 1280 x 1024. Post processing and all that crap off.

Has anyone really come up with a decent solution that may be able to help fix the lag? And as far as I saw, it doesn't exactly seem to be as server-bound as people say. I tried a plethora of different servers, ranging from the lowest pings possible to highest, and my FPS stayed exactly the same, regardless of my ping or video settings.

Pretty frustrating when this is a perma-death game and I'm getting this ass of a problem.

Edit: I don't think it's a heat issue or anything like that either, I've got about 7 fans in my computer, a giant heatsink on my CPU with a push/pull system and the temperature of it hardly rises.

set your graphic quality to medium

I've tried that too. Like I mentioned, I tried low, medium, high and mixed and matched everything in between, and even with everything maxed I still get the average 15 fps - Same as I get on very low.

i play on a 60" L.E.D. Tv and can play this perfect, i would say get x2 4gb sticks of ram, also i donno about your cpu but def need a good one to run this because it eats and thrives off of cpu and ram. my lil brother has a worse comp than me by like .5 on the index rating and he is able to play the game perfect based on the server, server makes a huge difference aswell. He also runs it threw six launcher as i do and he actually puts his Arma2.exe process priority to high.

If anything actually relating to my computer I'd assume it's the RAM then, my CPU is pretty decent, 3.4hz quad core, plus I overclocked it a bit and it's temperature is still really low. Guess I'll try ram since that's cheap enough anyhow.
