Kegan187 0 Posted July 16, 2012 (edited) I have been playing DayZ for quite a while now and love it. However, I have been losing my camps because of the servers that they are on go down, then never come back up. This has happened to me a lot, I stopped counting after the sixth server. The amount of vehicles and loot my group and I have been losing is beginning to get to me, mainly because I cannot find a server that will actually stay up for at least 5 days before going down and not coming back up. So, my questions is this: How can I possibly figure out if a certain server is going to be up for a long time? Or, if that is not possible, why have so many servers been going down and not coming back up?For those of you who may not have noticed it, most of the Chicago servers have gone down and disappeared(There are currently 16 online, while there was many more. I believe it was close to 50). I do not know how widespread this seemingly random event is, so please excuse my ignorance of the other 100s of servers. maxamillion12345 21 Posted July 16, 2012 (edited) They are not going down they are changing their server name. I'm not sure why but all servers such as Chicago 24, Atlanta 33 have now been changed to US XXX. I think it is so they are all in the same format like serves from other countries. This happened to me and my group as well. To find the server type the old name of the server such as Chicago 24 and the word DayZ into google and it should come up with the new server name. For example google search Chicago 24 DayZ, I can find out that it is now US 535 by using: http://www.gametracker.com.It's better to use google than search inside the website as I find it difficult to find it through the website.Hope this helps mate. vlad_storm12@hotmail.com 3 Posted July 16, 2012 Well, idk if you will know if a server will go down forever unless you get into the mind of the owner. But LOTC server never goes down(Other than for updates). Its hosted by lordofthecraft.net and ive been with em for over a year on the Minecraft server. just search up LOTC in the filter. There are two servers (3rd one coming up soon)

jskibo 143 Posted July 16, 2012 HFB hosted servers had a mass change last week to fall in line with the US XXX naming convention. It was rather short notice and the owners didn't know ahead of time what their new number would be until HFB logged in the panel and changed it for us.Would have loved to give advance notice, however it wasn't possible in this case.... Praetorian (DayZ) 2 Posted July 16, 2012 It seems the HFB server US 738 Seattle (formerly US 121 Seattle (formerly Seattle 44)) is down and has been since 2:40pm est today, and as you can see has changed twice already in the past. Now I'm worried that the name has changed again and that I won't be able to find it :(
