Single Player runs smooth, DayZ is choppy and laggy

Recommended Posts

Arma II runs fine when it isn't in a Dayz server.

In the DayZ server, it runs about 7 or 8 frames in a quarter-second period, freezes frame for about a half of a second, then repeats.

I've uninstalled, reinstalled, etc.

My mouse runs along the screen smoothly when I hit ESC, and the menu navigation is fairly decent.

I will say that my system isn't the first choice for Arma II, but it really works fine otherwise.

Any suggestions?

Haha yeah vSync is disabled everything is as low as possible and my resolutions are the same.

It's the retail copy, not Steam.

try to close six launcher after launch the game, it resyncs periodly and causes lag/freeze.

Alright I'll give it a whirl, I'll let you know what happens.

Screw it, I'll just wait until it's near it's final stages when Arma III hops along. Maybe by then I can afford a decent gaming rig. Plus, ragdoll.
