Character/item problem

Ive been on 2 servers so far (UK 9 and LU 92). If i was to relog after playing ill loose everything and go back to the starting gear, but ill stay in the same place?

I tested the problem just before posting. Got some gear, put some in my toolbar, some in my backpack and dropped some on the floor then relogged.

When i came back i was in the same place, but only had the starting items.

Donno if this is a common problem? maybe ive missed something out. All i know is my friends that played on the same servers as i do respawn with their gear....

Anyone any Idea? or have the same problems?

Happens to me sometimes as well. That made me camp a supermarket and join different servers, cause everytime I lost the Alice Pack, the Winchester and my revolver... Then later the same day it worked fine. Well now I have instead a revolver a makarov, but instead of a winchester a M1014....

Ive been playing a week, and never respawned after getting gear :( yea if im heading off for the night, ill try fight a house that spawns loots. but would love to not loose my bags and item etc :(
