WTF just happened!

I am a new player that has only been playing for three days and I recentley just had something very weird happen to me. So I joined a server and started back from where I was yesterday, right outside the Elektro market. I go in and find some food and water and a watch. I then went to the pub across the way and picked up a makarov and some other random things. Then I went to the firestation and got an akm with some mags. I disconnect as I want to save my guy in case anything happens. I join back and I am in some weird huge green valley/plains looking place with just grass, no trees or bushes etc. I immediated alt+f4 and then i join back and I respawn in the bottom lefthand corner of the map. At least I have all my stuff with me but it was really weird.

You've been lucky for getting back on the map.

Many who spawn in the debug area can only leave it by killing themselves cause it would take hours to run back to the actuall map...

This happened to me just a day or two ago. I logged in Pogorevka church, and logged back in later and I thought I was in debug desert but somehow I was just off the map. I was only 5,000 meters from Pushtoska. Thankfully.

Ok. A few things.

First that's called debug field and it's like 30km off the left side of the map.

Second disconnecting is not gonna save your character if u die. If u die your gonna lose ur stuff regardless.

Not really a good idea to disconnect in a dangerous place like that. You should find a place to hide when doing so or you may get shot as you log back in.
