Question about something I dont dare to try

Recommended Posts

Can you drop a backpack full of gear in a building or something and have it persist? Or will it drop off onserver reboot? The thought is using a BP like a little mini-tent.

No, I believe the gear would disappear awhile after you leave the area. Backpack's don't come with a "Save" feature I don't think either so you wouldn't be able to save it going through a server reset or something.

It will stay as long as server doesnt reboot. When I camp Cherno/Electro and run out of food/ammo, I just drop my sniper rifle under a tree and run to the town to refill the supplies. Then I come back and pick my rifle. If I die during the resupply run, I run through the city to gain the basic stuff and then again go to the location where I left the sniper rifle and continue my camping adventure.

They will disappear after some time (even without any server restart).
