b.v.nieuwburg@gmail.com 5 Posted July 16, 2012 I'd like to see zombies that make a distinct sound when they've spotted you or, when they're about to attack you. added to DayZ.Right now there is this sound a zombie makes that sounds to me like "Ah aha wooo hoo ahha haaaaa" and it constantly freaks me out because I think I'm detected. But it is just roaming. There is no way to hear a zombie that's charging for you. To me it would add some realism, and it would prevent me from spamming the alt button and wanking the mouse left-right all the time to spot aggroed zombies.PS I figured this would have been suggested a couple times before. But I've used the search but could not find any related posts.
b00m666 38 Posted July 16, 2012 True, because if it was reality they also use alt to check behind them:
Lito (DayZ) 6 Posted July 16, 2012 Sometimes it is confusing, but I like it for a sort of more realistic feel. Not that zombies are real, didnt mean it that way. :D
Bludy 324 Posted July 16, 2012 isn't that fear a part of the fun? i like when i have to decide when start running because it's SURE i will be detected, just on the base of my evaluation. it would be : oh he saw me..let's run
aseliot 23 Posted July 16, 2012 I agree with this actually because i don't even really listen to their sounds anymore, i know they make these sounds all the time so i go about my bussiness. the only thing i do is look around me all the time and only trust on what i see rather than what i hear. It's logical that they would be moaning when idle, and scream out in excitement when they chase you. Although random screams (when idle) would certainly be a cool addition. b.v.nieuwburg@gmail.com 5 Posted July 16, 2012 Random screams are fine, just to freak you out completely. In fact that's awesome. But that's what they do at the moment. I just like to see an addition that when they are chasing you they make some noise that they otherwise wouldn't make. Some sort of panting or anything really.
