Zeromentor 169 Posted July 16, 2012 I think I might try that if I ever get into that range...Chances are, they'll just be added to the body count when they decide to ignore me.+1 to the guys in the video.

Fooz (DayZ) 46 Posted July 16, 2012 This is what it should be like, but to many PKers makes it hard lol, I have told people I see to move along and try not to kill them if I do not have to, most of the time they listen and just leg it away, but I have never gone up to them like that
Caviano 287 Posted July 16, 2012 (edited) My group and I were moving a recently constructed Military Offroad vehicle to a parking location to begin building up our campsite. We were travelling just fine through the forest with our group of 4 men. Now my group, we operate very tactically and cohesively, but we also like to have some fun and crack some jokes. One of the running jokes is saying "Friendly" on the direct chat to instill a quick shiver down everyone else's spines. So when we heard someone say "Friendly" in the middle of bum fuck nowhere during a pit stop for food, drink, and bearings, we just thought it was another one of the group playing a joke..."That one wasn't me guys...""Stop fucking around...""I'm not! SPREAD OUT!"Everyone is now on high alert, surrounding our precious cargo, our military offroad vehicleI yell out:"I will throw a flare, lower your weapons and walk slowly to the flare, cooperate and you will not be harmed."We hear some rustling in the bushes, and some faint chattering, "Okay! Don't Shoot!"Two fairly well armed men, one British, one American come out of a bush. 1 was armed with an AKM, the other with an MP5, after looking at them and deciding they were not a threat so long as we see them off, we give them the next set of directions."Turn around..."They cooperate."Start running, if you turn around you will be shot."They cooperate.I might mention now that my group is very well armed.1) .50 cal sniper had a bead on the targets the entire time2)Light machine gunner was crouched behind the car with an easy spray on both targets.3) Our driver had popped out of the vehicle and got in place with a M4A1 SD.4) I was the negotiator acting with a standard M4A1.--Now anyone who faces this kind of opposition in close quarters would typically be thrilled at this opportunity for a longer life. But not these two... Sure they cooperated and began running away... but the second one of them turned around:2 shots of .50 cal into the Brit, 5-10 rounds of M240 into the American, and a slew of M4A1 up and down the AKM wielding American.----Despite my group being EXTREMELY amiable, and allowing safe passage, some people will still try to get the better of you. So long as you maintain control, and aren't hesitant to do what is right, to preserve your own life... everything is fair game. resident_leeonheart@yahoo.com 32 Posted July 16, 2012 Been watching Acebane's videos for a while now... I like how he doesn't take this game too seriously Now that's how a real bandit should behave. As a survivor, I wouldn't mind getting rob by this guy. ;)
andy_uk15@hotmail.com 70 Posted July 16, 2012 I did this sort of thing alot...One time I was caught unaware fighting a zed with my axe when i heard a "Freindly?" ring out from behind.Initially a bit stunned I was going "uhhh yeah freindly..i'm freindly" .. Turning around I see the barrels of 4 guns pointing at me."i'll just get out of your way"... Said I, leaving - hoping not to catch a bullet in my back. Fortunately I didn't.Sadly I've not had the same experience getting the jump on other players.... Usually end up dead or injured due to my own foolish nievity

Fortunately I didn't.I experienced similar situation quite often in Cherno and once in the Airfield. if they don't response I just point my gun at him/her and slowly walk away. i don't think any of us is willing to risk getting shot in the city. Still haven't been shot by a single bandit till this day and hope it stays that way. *prays* Edited July 16, 2012 by leeo38
Untalented 0 Posted July 16, 2012 This guy was awesome. I'm sniped 90% of my deaths from 500m+ out. Even if this guy shot me I'd of felt better.

andy_uk15@hotmail.com 70 Posted July 16, 2012 (edited) A nice bandit? :PI'm sure if he had some place to stick his M107, he'd keep it... as it stood, with 2 rifles, he could only swap Edited July 16, 2012 by ScramUK
acebane 268 Posted July 16, 2012 Exactly what ScramUK said. I could've dropped all my extra beans/drinks/med supplies to carry both but...... Considering he binded his surrender key, I felt he deserved the reward lol. In any case, For the record, thanks for the support/compliments but a lot of it was right time, right circumstances for him lol. If he started running into the field, out of range direct chat, I wouldn't be able to rob him, now would I? In any case, watch my other to see me not be such a nice bandit :P.
