What happens to the vehicle if you drive a it (VAN) and you get kicked by battleye?

I ran back on the trail I was driving, and where I stopped a bit and saved it, and where I found it, but I haven't seen it.

Is it possible the vehicle goes on without a driver?

I suspect it was stolen by an other player while I wasn't on the server. (10-20 seconds)
