stulpi74@gmx.de 0 Posted July 16, 2012 hi all, same here, playing for hours with 40 - 60 fps - then sudden drop to about 12.restarting pc fixes it, but there has to be a reason for this happening.2600k, gtx570, 8 gig ram, ssd
Foogals (DayZ) 61 Posted July 16, 2012 Could be ARMA acting up, hence why computer restarts help it. But it also might be the servers being weird. Happened to me too, even at ranges of 15-30 ms/ping.
Hulkingbrute 0 Posted July 16, 2012 Me and my friend are playing on the same server, so I dont think its that. His fps is 40.
Foogals (DayZ) 61 Posted July 16, 2012 Me and my friend are playing on the same server, so I dont think its that. His fps is 40.Fair enough, could be certain Beta/ Beta patches with certain computers. ARMA updates are almost always trouble.
Hulkingbrute 0 Posted July 16, 2012 Im entirely sure that I havent downloaded anything called a beta patch.
Foogals (DayZ) 61 Posted July 16, 2012 Really now? You're running Combined Operations... and not the Beta patch? That might be the problem. If so then grab a Beta patch from ARMA http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/ (Not Beta Patch V. 94545 though, really buggy to me.)Install that then go into the Operation Arrowhead folder (C:/ > Program Files > Steam > Steamapps > Common > Arma OA OR Operation Arrowhead if using steam)Basically the same place you put @DayZ and it should be around the bottom, marked "ARMA OA Beta" or something among those lines. Davo{RS} 2 Posted July 16, 2012 (edited) I had a weird fps drop issue caused by dust in my PC causing the motherboard to overheat. Using an air-duster fixed it.See my post here:http://dayzmod.com/f...ag-spikes-help/ Edited July 16, 2012 by davo1980
