Vexsanity 2 Posted July 16, 2012 So, I am in the timezone GMT-5 and its night time currently for me here, I wanted to play on a server that was day time so I joined a GMT+8 server which should be roughly 2:30 PM(daytime) which it is not, its still nighttime, I then tried a GMT-8 and it was also still night time, I am curious to how night/day works and if the server had been labelled wrong or if I am doing something wrong myself. Thanks.
Caviano 287 Posted July 16, 2012 Gauge the time of a server based on the population. High population? Daytime. Low population? Night time.
Scene 36 Posted July 16, 2012 Use DayZ commander to join servers, it tells you the time in the server as well as a bunch of other features.http://www.dayzcommander.com/

Razbari 5 Posted July 16, 2012 In my experience, the reported time of day on DayZCommander is wrong 3/5 times. It's a great alternative to sixlauncher, but it has it's issues :P
eden.eustice@gmail.com 46 Posted July 16, 2012 The "Time Zone" shown in the server name is set in the config but doesn't neccesarily actually show the real server time. The time of dame in game is linked to the System time on said server. Our server is still showing as GMT -8 even though it's GMT +2, it will be corrected on the next reboot but for now it's wrong :(
