Another noob question.

Recommended Posts

After watching vids, and reading about the game I decide to get it, and it is downloading from steam now. After reading guides, and forums, I think I understand don't trust anyone. A question I have is that more people seem to be killing on sight, so if I start out at a spawn point do I try to kill every person who I think I can handle? Even fellow noobs at spawn points? It seems cut throat to me that I would be killing people who are in the same situation as me as far as with equipment and location just because I don't know them, and they could be a potential threat.

You spawn without a weapon, you cant just attack with like your fists, also you very rarely will spawn next to someone its a large map for around 40 people and you will spawn somewhere down the coast so you should be safe from others when you start. If you do manage to find other players you can team up with them or try in the beginning but, once they get there hands on a gun its up to you whether or not to trust them I wouldnt unless I'd have been looting with them for a long time and they seemed friendly and werent afraid of sharing. Just keep your guard up and if you get ur hands on something good watch your back.

If it helps, always let the other person get the better loot ^^ it may be kind of annoying, but they won't kill you then :D

Thanks for the advice, however, after spawing and going to town another survivor decided to plant a crowbar in my face while I was crawling with a broken leg.

It happens. Just like in real life your going to meet asswads and saints alike. Unfortunately, there seems to be more of the former than the latter in both situations. If you want trust I'd recommend playing with some of your close buddies. Other than that it's best to take things on a case by case basis.

My wife and I play about every night. We do not kill anyone unless they kill one of us. When we see other players we try and avoid them. We are here to kill Zeds not players. Best of luck and do what you think is right.

Do what you feel is right. There is no need to senselessly murder everyone you see, but if you want to play that way go for it. Contrary to popular opinion on this forum not everyone is a KOS bandit, many are more than willing to help you and a good team mate is worth much more than there loot.
