So I have to buy Arma 2 with operation arrowhead to get into dayz right?

Also does sayz cost anything?

Nope, DayZ is a free mod.

It requires Arma Combined Operations though, which is basically just Arma 2 and Arma OA together

After you install those games, install the six launcher, A launcher designed for Arma Mods.

Trust me, I was skeptical about buying Arma for this mod, but DayZ alone with tons of other gamemodes makes it completely worth it.

That is both the ArmA 2 and operation arrowhead that is needed to get the mod working

The mod itself it free and if you get that pack above you will not need to pay for anything else.
