Buying Arma 2

I never bought a game on steam. Is it worth going through that process? Or should I just buy the game from a local retail store.

You can buy only on steam...

Or from the developer's store, or from a brick-and-mortar store in a box...

What version do I need to play this game ? Just Arma 2 OA ? I see there is 4/5 versions

I bought "Combined Operations" and it's worked fine. It's only $23.99 on steam right now so it might be cheaper than anywhere else.

Steam is pretty simple and I haven't had any issues with it. They've got a huge sale going on right now as well so you can probably pick up something else really cheap there too.
