Hows does one log out/save?

I'm confused as to how I'm supposed to properly log out after playing DayZ....i hit "Esc" and basically the only options are "Abort" and "Restart"....so how do I save my game so that I can come back later and pick up where I left off?

Thanks and sorry if this was answered before, I tried using the search function and came up with nothing.

It saves automatically.

You can join any server and will have the same stuff in your inventory and be in the same position.

I am pretty sure pushing restart kills you and makes you restart over again with nothing.

Use abort > Disconnect > Disconnect.

The server saves everything you do to the hive so all your progress will carry across all the servers that are connected to the public hive server.
