For your information to downgrade from 94945 to 94876:

Browse to:

... your Install Dir (for Steam: \Steam\steamapps\common)' \arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\BattlEye'

Run the BattlEye Uninstaller: 'UnInstallBE.exe'

Then delete the contents of the 'beta' directory:

'\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta'

(don't worry about deleting it as its only the beta exes - if you want you can just rename the beta folder to something else: 'beta_orig' or similar)

I personally also had to delete another (cached?) copy of BEClient.dll located in:

'AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\BattlEye\BEClient.dll' (I use Windows 7 so that is under C:\Users\Name\AppData\... )

Basically as I was logging into a game, it would start loading and then Arma2OA would crash, I looked at Windows Event Viewer and the BEClient.dll in the location above was at fault...

Then download the (94876) beta from BI Studios (http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/), direct link: ftp://downloads.bistudio.com/arma2.com/update/beta/ARMA2_OA_Build_94876.zip

And run it, it will re-install BattlEye (the version for 94876) and install the beta exes, the two folders will now be repopulated with various files.

Then use DayZCommander (http://www.dayzcommander.com/) or SixUpdater (http://www.six-updater.net/) to find a server!

Thanks Kugane.

The 94876 patch solved this issue for me. I downloaded the patch and ran the auto installer, tried joining a game using Six Launcher and was successful.

kyle try this...

Use the latest beta patch, 95054(released today), as the 2/3 previous ones seem to be buggy as shit. Heres a quick guide if you need it.

This is my current install method and i havent ran into any problems so far. Game working 100%

-Both games fully installed and ran before any mods or betas are applied.

-Dayz Updater ran and fully updated. Sometimes this updater has issues, in which case i use the torrent file instead. This can be found on the dayz website under "download alpha". Note. The files inside the torrent get extracted into: Default: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\@DayZ\Addon or if you havent used the default folder then find your install of steam and go to \Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\@DayZ\Addon make sure you replace the existing files if necessary.

-Download latest beta patch (currently ARMA2_OA_Build_95054.zip) from http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php

-Run the .exe and install.

-Heres the important bit most people miss or do not do correctly: Go back to your steam directory, default: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common, open the folder "arma 2 operation arrowhead" then rename "arma2OA.exe" to something like "xxxarma2OA.exe"(this is to create a backup should you ever need to remove the patch). From that same directory you need to move on to a folder named\Expansion\ then \beta\. Within here you will find another file named "arma2OA.exe". You need to right-click and copy this, then paste into \steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead(make sure you overwrite the existing .exe if necessary).

-Next just paste the following into "launch options" of Arma II: Operation Arrowhead" in your steam library: -beta=Expansion\beta;ca;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=@DayZ;ca

-Make sure to use 95054 in the filter after youre fully updated as the new beta is not backward compatible.

-Be sure to launch the game as "combined operations". The game should be fully working and playable.

For some reason didn't spot this thread yesterday even after searching and started another one with same topic. Here is what I originally posted:

What to do next?

I've purhased a retail copy of ArmA 2 (just to play DayZ), installed it and DayZ following the instructions I found on DayZ Wiki (http://dayzwiki.com/...to_install_DayZ). Tried joining the game using Six Launcher. All servers give me "Wait for host" screen.

Uninstalled and re-instelled everything, including the latest beta patch - also BattlEye is the lates version I found. Still the same situation. "Wat for host" no matter which/how many server(s) I try.

I have no idea what to do next... Anyone, help me, please.

The only advice I got there was to check that "you match up your games version with the server you're joining". Had already done that for sure.

Today I even tried uninstalling all again, installing ArmA free Steam version + OA retail, DayZ using Six Launcher. Tried different beta patch versions (such as 94876, 95045) but no luck. Black screen and "Wait for host" forever.

PLEASE, HELP ME!!

This video should solve most of your problems. Keep in mind for a FLAWLESS update and usage of finding servers for you please download DayzCommander. This program is MUCH easier to use and I recommend it to any one looking to have the best gaming experience.

Sorry, Red Robin but your video is pretty useless. No help at all solving any problems. The same info is available on countless of pages, besides if you want to make an educational video, write your 'speech' in advance to make some sense..

Still waiting for the host... Help, anyone??
