stuck on loading using six launcher

So my friend gifted me the game and got me to download six launcher. i've gone through all the installations and tried to get on a server using the six launcher, it gets me to the screen where it lists all the players names and all i have to do is hit OK. when i do that, i get a black screen and a loading bar that fills up, but nothing happens. any ideas?

It can take 3 to 10 minutes to load you into the game. This is either due to the massive amounts of players or Rocket playing a joke on the loggers.

It happened to me so I alt-tabbed out and my firewall wanted to know whever to block or unblock dayz so I pressed unblock :-)

And then it loads

Check your DayZ and beta version and match it to the server you join.

Also make sure the ping of the server is good.

If it gets hung up on "Load" or "Creating character", just try a different server.

I never wait 3 to 10 minutes to join a server. Just wasting your time doing that.

Also make sure you are not picking a server from six launcher. Just open six launcher up and click launch to get in the game. Then go to multiplayer and go to the filter and put DayZ in the mission and pick a server from there

I prefer Six Updater.

Have you downloaded the beta patch for Arma II?

Download 94876, not the newest one as it is bugged.

Extract the file if you downloaded the zip and run the .exe installer.

If it continues, its the server

usually on you first try it takes 20m.
