btw all that only set me back $800

Exactly why he should buy from a local PC shop that can build a custom PC to his desired specs.

One question, what power supply do you recommend?

Use the recommended power supply requirement from the graphics card you are looking to get. The higher the better, but no need to get a 1200 watt if your graphics card requires, say, a 350 watt. 800 is the norm for a single graphics card and computer components.
