Dangerous woods

Recommended Posts

Hey guys...

I had just been watching this video here

And I have come to the conclusion that it would be nice if....SOMETHING, was to infest certain parts of the countryside. Personally, I love getting out to the north - away from the players and the bulk of zeds. But once I'm out in the woods - there's little to fear. It would be nice if there was a random chance to come across something truely monstrous.

This video also shows me something else...

Sound in INCREDIBLY important in terms of instilling fear. The sounds from the zeds in Day Z are already pretty unsettling... But I think the ones in the above video trump it.

That's Chernarus Apocalypse arma II Coop mod. The game-play is very similar to Left for dead and it has some story elements to it too.

Coincidentally I was watching a video game play about this mod earlier and it looks mighty interesting. Sadly though there are only 3 episodes and the author hasn't done any new ones since Nov 2011.

It sounds great and I would approve it when the forest becomes more dangerous =)

Adding wolfes ?

Beasts that attack you in packs, spawning nearby water points or when you kill an animal. <3
