Waiting for character to create

I just bought this game and i installed everything but when i try join a server with Six Launcher it loads up but comes up with "waiting for character to create" and stays there for about 5 minutes untill it comes up with loading after that but sometimes that doesn't even come up!

i use the steam version of the game if that makes any more difference

I assume you've probably bought ArmA X?

You've probably got a mess with either the version of Day Z itself or the latest ArmA2OA beta patch. It could also be a problem with BattlEye.

Make sure you have 1.7.2.3 of Day Z installed, 94945 of ArmA2OA Beta and the correct BattlEye .dll to it.

Having the same problem. Yesterday everything worked fine and today Im stuck at "Waiting for character to create".

Gonna try to reinstall everything now, but yeah ... lets see
