I agree with most posters on here. The zombies in DayZ are a bit disappointing, they should be slower but harder to kill. I think that in and around cities the number of zombies is good (mostly) but IF the zombies would be changed to what's being proposed in this thread I'd like to see a bit more of them in the cities and also a few of them roaming the woods so that you would never be completely safe from them.

rocket said these are not zombies, they are the infected. best "infected" i ever saw was in the crazies. if he wants zombies then the title "DayZ" is perfect, if he wants infected he should probably rename the stand alone "end of days" because the Z makes people think of zombies and the rules we have all come to know and love about the genre.

slower, no crazy zig-zaging but more of em and deadlier maybe like 10 punches to kill u

I think right now they need about a 100 punches to kill you

they could be slowed down while keeping them "infected". Just make them struggle with running. I'm sure if you are chock full of a virus, it is plausible that sprinting is going to be tough.

Then we could have what we want, and rocket can keep his infected zombies.

I have been on this game for about a month, and I have loved every bit of it, I usually play everyday for an hour or 2.

My biggest problem is the erratic detection system and the fact that these bastards run way to fast. Rocket, if you wanna make a 28 days later zombie you have done it, however every other zombie movie has the shambling dumb zombies. Could we please get something in the middle, i.e. NOT GOING against the sprinters but more like having the monkeys speed, with the crawlers intelligence.
