Lost everything while offline?

Hey guys I logged on today and I am back on the shore as a new survivor while last night I was at the airfield loaded with stuff. I certainly didn't die and logged at a safe spot so what is the deal? is this a regular occurance? I know it's alpha but damn it makes me angry that i lost everything i had worked so hard for nothing.

Hit respawn or kill yourself. Your stuff will come back. I had the same problem today.

haha i got all my stuff back but for some reason spawned in the center of the airfield and had to run for me life.
