very quiet mic

hello, sorry if my english is bad. I just started posting, not a leecher or anything, but when I use direct com ingame, it is very quiet.. I noticed i'm not the only one as I met another survivor once with very low mic volume, you could hear a few mumbles here and there, and I tested it out with my friend and he has the same issue, some very quiet mic and we can't hear correctly.

if it helps, my ingame microphone setting is at maximum.

It is already setup at +10 d.b boost, using skype or any other program works perfectly crystal clear.

sorry to bother if this was asked again, I searched and haven't found a clue. :(

Unless you are standing next to each other, or very near, the direct comms volume changes depending on how far away someone is.

Have you adjusted the VON option in Audio options?

Turn that up high and see what happens.

Honestly all I can say is it sounds like your headset sucks.

I have an occasional glitch where my sound goes completely quiet, but I have no idea how to fix that, or your problem.

headset is very good, crystal clear in teamspeak, skype ventrilo all that. even other steam games/games in general

must be something with arma

Just encountered the same problem, on TS I could hear really loud but in-game even when standing next to each other i could barely hear what the other guy was saying. Tried adjusting everything on the audio options but didn't work.

Ive noticed a problem with my G35 headset. If I install the drivers for it the mic test (in windows) is very low & no-one can hear me in game BUT I can select 5.1 or 7.1 sound. If I dont install the drivers the mic test is very good (I suspect it should now work in game but am yet to test it) however I can only select mono or stereo sound in Windows.
