dayz_anim requires addon CA_Dubbing Counterattack + bin\config.bin/CfgVehicles/Citizen1.scope problem!

Yesterday I bought Arma Combined Operations just to play DayZ. I used Six Launcher to install DayZ. When I select a sever, it gives me the "dayz_anim requires addon CA_Dubbing Counterattack" then opens arma and after loading for a bit, it tells me "bin\config.bin/CfgVehicles/Citizen1.scope". This happens everytime I try to play on a DayZ server. I did followed the steps for using six launcher, I've re-installed and opened Arma 2, Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead and Arma 2 Combined Operations and gone to the menu before installing Dayz, and setting the launch sequence to -mod=@DayZ. I bought Arma from Steam. Please help, I am craving DayZ :(

Have you installed the latest Beta patch for Arma 2?

Because you use steam you have to manually install the patch.

Navigate to your steamapps/common/Arma 2 OA/expansion/Beta folder.

Copy the arma2oa.exe and paste it back into the main folder.

Its a good idea to make a copy of the current .exe, just in case. Rename it to arma20a123 or something.

It comes as a .exe, so all you have to do is run it, then do the steps I gave you.

okay so i installed the patch then copied the armaoa.exe to the main folder and replaced the old one with the new one. do i just choose a server now and play?

Yes, but when choosing a server, make sure it says (1.7.2.3/94945)

i just ran it from steam and i got a message reading "error creating direct3D 9 graphical engine" when i tried to run arma 2 oa

and now when i run it from the beta patch shortcut, i try to join a server and i get an error reading something like cant play because it is dependant on content that has been deleted

Are you running Combined Operations? Its the bottom option when you go to open the game through steam.

Do you have Arma 2 free?

Also, if you have to, try and reinstall DX9.

The Direct3D error comes if you don't copy the beta arma2oa.exe to the main folder.

i have the exact same problem. I also can launch Arma 2: OA perfectly, but when I try to launch Arma II it says that bad serial was given upon setup. I bought Arma II Combined Operations over steam.

Edit: When I try to open Arma II Combined Operations over steam, nothing happens.

And when I try to open Arma 2: OA it says: "Error creating Direct3D 9 Graphical engine"

I can open DayZ, but when I try to play on a server it says "You cannot play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.Chernarus".

I saw on that link that there is a download for a 94997 patch, do we just ignore that and use 94945 patch? I also ran into the issue the OP has posted and was wondering if that could be the problem I am having.

I have tried the 94876 patch as well and still have the same issue.

I am having this very same issue! It even happens when loading OA via steam on single player.

Have tried doing a fresh install of the mod and still run into this issue. I have the patch 95099 and used Six Launcher to install the mod and run the game as well. I have Steam which I feel could be causing the issues. If you know a workaround that would be awesome.

ya i went and redownload arma 2 OA after not playing for almost 4 months just to play this mod and i get this error

what i did was when i had this problem i copied the addons map and put it in the arma 2 operation arrowhead map like this:

copied this map: C:\Program\Steam\steamapps\com­mon\arma 2\Addons

and put it here: C:\Program\Steam\steamapps\com­mon\arma 2 operation arrowhead

and the problem was solved hope this may help ^^
