94945 / 94949 Installation

To upgrade to the latest beta 94945:

http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php

you must upgrade your Battleye installation:

http://www.battleye.com/download.html

Download : BE Client for Windows (32-bit)

and copy it too:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\BattlEye

To downgrade to 94876, you must delete the folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta

and then install 94876

and uninstall battleye and reinstall the old battleye asumming you actually upgraded to the new Battleye.

I can't seem to connect to any servers after upgrading to 94945. Just says "Wait for host". Found this thread and thought Battle-eye was the problem, followed the instructions but, same problem persists. might have to downgrade, not many servers running 94945 yet anyway.

That's probably a server issue, ye best to downgrade as not many servers running the latest beta.

Try to downgrade now ARMA crashes when trying to connect with the following error:

Faulting application name: arma2oa.exe, version: 1.61.94.876, time stamp: 0x4ffef77f

Faulting module name: BEClient.dll, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x5002b255

Exception code: 0xc0000005

I downgraded battleye by uninstalling the reinstalling from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\BEsetup but looks like Batteleye is still causing the crash.

I recommend everyone stay away from 94945 it is pretty messed up and downgrading is problematic.

I've given up for the moment, it seems whatever version of the beta I install I'm getting "Wait for host" and each server also has a different flavour of the beta running. Waiting until the dust from the recent update tornado has settled a bit seems like the best solution for me. I just don't have the time on weekends to try out all these different tips & tricks on how to get it working..

I was able to play on US133 with 94945 while all other server where "Wait for host", just as FYI.
