Jehangir 52 Posted July 18, 2012 FIX THE BUGS BEFORE YOU ADD NEW STUFF TO THE GAME.Seriously.Adding invisible/unlimited bear traps?Tents still wiping on server restartsVehicles still wiping on server restartsVehicles resetting on server restartsTents moving when placed downhillCamo clothing doesn't workDuplicating itemsDuplicating tentsDisconnecting in fightsZombie super aggro when proning 50 m awayThe list is endless on really HUGE gamebreaking bugs. And you add more buggy items like invisible bear traps.Get your priorities right. You have the privilege to test an alpha version of a mod. This is not a game. You are not a player. You are a tester. You have volunteered your services to help improve the alpha build.Bear traps are there to test their usefulness in the final version of the mod (not game).Tents and vehicles wiping or resetting moving are a glitch in the alpha version of the mod.Camo clothing is an item in the alpha build of the mod which may or may not be fixed, depending on what the modder wants you to test next.Duplicating things is the work of hackers. The modder is trying to get the basic mechanics of the alpha build of the mod down before he focuses on making it unhackable.Disconnecting or Desyncing is a bug in the alpha build of this mod. They will get to it when they get to it.Zombie aggro is adjusted and readjusted very often to see what is an optimal range. You know why? Because it is the alpha build of a mod.Stop whining about an incomplete mod that you didn't even pay for. You have the privilege to test a mod that has great potential and amazing atmosphere. If you don't like it, don't test.Get some frozen yogurt or something and calm the hell down you lunatic!
Freckelz 9 Posted July 18, 2012 Nothing in your reply matters. Doesn't matter if it's alpha or beta. It's pretty evident that you do no programming or know how development process works. The player testing is done to find bugs and get feedback on the game, which we have plenty, and the dev team should fix these bugs. Not add new "features" that bring more bugs to the game.Development works like this:1. Programmer creates a feature2. Players test it3. Players report it is broken4. Programmer fixes the bug5. Move on to the next featureProper development progress does not work like this:1. Programmer creates a feature2. Players test it3. Players report it is broken4. Programmer creates a feature5. Players report it is broken6. Programmer creates a feature7. Players report it is broken8. Programmer creates a feature9. Players report it is brokenSee the difference? You fix the shit you broke before you move on with new stuff. Instead of breaking it some more.Your are completly and totaly wrong. That's Beta.. not alpha..You need to understand the difference... Alpha is a phase where new features are piled one on top of the other for no reason other then to see how it works. They don't worry about bugs unless it SERIOUSLY affects the testings of new features.. Which Rocket has done and exccedingly good job at doing. He is doing exactly what he's suppose to be. Running a somewhat to even well prefoming ALPHA game while testing new features he wants to experience for the next step.. which is beta...BETA is where the tester then plays threw and reports bugs, and they are fixed along the way. Period. That's it.You have no idea how stupid you look when you say these things becasue it just shows how little you know. You have no idea what the process is, you have no idea what a GIFT it is that Rocket has opened Dayz's Alpha to the public. Do the forums a favor... and just keep your mouth shut.ALSO... @ Vision305... Dayz is a mod.. and 90% of the suggestions made arn't compatiable with the Arma II engine...For the love of god people who don't understand things should either ask questions respectfully or just keep there mouths shut.. how hard is it people...
