Those things you do when you're bricking it...

Recommended Posts

You guys ever panic fired on someone, or fell off of something whilst sprinting out of sheer fear?

Feeling sorry to the two guys I unloaded an AKM mag onto that were sprinting into Electro, had just killed a bandit by the hospital in melee range - took a bullet too, only to see two players sprinting in a straight line towards me through some gardens shortly after. I only realised one was unarmed after, though I let the second one run seeing the murder count to one.

He came back when I was in the shopping centre and broke my leg with a crowbar, a shotgun blast to the face and some morphine fixed that situation - learnt that it's best to kill them all or not at all. The city does horrible things to my trusting of other players.

Although I take the game with the attitude of a survivor, it's scary how this game envokes the fight or flight feeling in me more than any other game. It's like, I knew I should have opened comms and said "Friendly, you guys need a hatchet to get started?" But after being shot in chest my first thought was "Oh fuck, his buddies, KILL THEM ALL!" To make it worse I accidentally had my rifle on rock and roll mode. BLATBLATBLATBLATBLAT.

I've never run off of anything. I have ran into friendlies and been pushed into the wall and fell to my death from that, or started to climb down a ladder, just to instantly fall to my death a second later.

And I've never fired on anyone I didn't mean to, either. But I have seen people run off buildings trying to escape me or others. I've also fired on a group of 5 to see one fire on another and kill him. That was funny. But generally, my actions are more tactical and planned out before I take fire, so I don't fall off buildings unless I'm pushed (on other games) and don't need to worry about accidentally killing people. But my lack of positional updates makes my teammates abit weary of moving around. I know where they are, but my chaotic and pretty unpredictable patterns tend to have me cross their vision when they least expect it.

90% of people i meet dissconnect at the slightest hint of danger.

bit of a game breaker at the minute. :S

Hate it sooo much, wasting my FAL ammo on exploiters!

I don't even aim anymore. I just fire a "warning" shot and watch them disappear.

I find it hularious how yelling into the mic after sneaking up on someone with an Ax will invoke the largest reaction. I usually creep up on unsuspecting victems sitting on towers and such and get up REAL close like. My usuals are "ARRRHHHHGGGGH DIE YOU MONSTER!" in which case I had someone literally sprint off of the roof they were on and on the way down yelled "FUCK YOU! OH GOD!" as they hit the pavement. My all time favorite wasn't original but still my funniest. I say a guy running away from a horde of zombies with an m1911 out and I began to chase. I kept yelling "I ONLY WANT TO GIVE YOU MELONS!" before he was backed into a corner. Me and my zombie friends chopped him into small little pieces as he just screamed over the com. Made me feel sadistically proud of myself.

Had a guy all up on the industrial stairs by the docks of Electro unarmed with a ton of zombies on him, I kept yelling "Dude, stay up there I'll lead them off and help you out!" He proceeded to fumble on the ladder the opposite side and fall to his death.

As calm and tactical you attempt to be in this game, I think one of the main reasons some of us play is for the adrenaline rush. Especially the first couple of kills I got, man I was sweating more nervously than that time on my first date.

The day of the 1.7.1 patch, I was looting the Komorovo factory. Then I turned around and saw a player running over to me. Out of sheer instinct and impulse, I filled him with bullets. Five seconds later in side chat, I heard "Wtf I didn't even have a gun."

I then remembered that new players don't spawn with guns anymore, and I had killed an unarmed person.
