I think the reason for people not trusting each other is because there is no real penalty to kill players, except that if people see you, they know you kill players. So if you hide in a bush and sniper people and steal their gear, you wont take any penalty at all for it.

My personal habit is to be cautious but courteous. I also have a written list of those that I can trust and those that I can't. A lot of bandits love to brag in open chat and it makes em easy to mark down under "Avoid and/or kill".

I don't see a valid reason to be a prick even though its the end of the world. Now if they would only have some girl survivor models in this mod things might get even more interesting...

So far, based on game chat and such, it seems like its strickly a boy's club out there right now.
