Wow you have some anger issues.

What is stopping me from saying the same thing you are about doing my due diligence in investigating a possible hacker/cheater, and instead of posting their info, I post the GUID of the player that killed me and raided and destroyed my camp?

I believe you that he did something wrong. All I am saying is that there are many "bad" people/admins out there. There should be a rule that you are not allowed to post players GUID's in forums, but rather PM them to a staff member for resolution.

I think you missed the point where, while you might be honest and post the true hackers id, others may not be so honest and post ids of people that they just don't like. I have seen many witch hunts happen after someone got mad they were killed and wanted revenge.

Aka the best way to report it is to send Rockets team the id, logs, and video so they can perma ban rather the post it.

Remember... being a server admin only takes money... honesty, integrity, etc. Are optional...

You are not a developer, neither you are BattleEye administrator, you can ban who ever you want from your server, if the user you banned has something to say against your action will issue a ticket to the developers.. and the story finishes here.

...but you're publishing user personal informations here on a public forum, inviting people to ban other ppl, based on your personal judgment. I don't know if you're honest (do you really believe that a troll saying "i'm honest" would make him automagically honest?), neither i need to know. I don't know if the GUID you posted is about a cheater or about your neighbor that have parked his car into your garden and you're looking for a revenge.. i do NOT care at all; it's like me posting: "Hey guys, i'm honest, jskibo is a cheater ..." and then posting a random cheating video with no nickname on it saying it's YOU!

So i've reported you to the forum admin, inviting them to remove any personal information from this thread and warning you to post other personal informations in the future (the correct way to do so is to PM a developer).

If GUIDs of proven hackers are not distributed on these forums, then hackers will never stop. How do you not understand that? There are 1850 server online right now. 1850!

Banning from 2 servers is barely a dent. I will be playing on JSKIBO's servers because he is one of the few proactive admins I have met.

Tonight, I posted another thread about a cheater (or multiple) on US 236. He killed our group twice. No response. Admin were in the server, as BE informed us they were. They did nothing to stop the teleporting god mode cheater, nor did they respond to my thread.

If solid proof, like a copy of the logs, is submitted to the Devs, there SHOULD be a master ban list. That is the only way to stop these hackers.

We have all been killed by hackers. If you have played this game for more than 20 hours, it is almost a certainty. They are ruining the game and BattleEye isn't helping. So the only thing to do is ban cheaters. Not just from a handful of servers, but something that would make them think twice about hacking, like the possibility of never logging into another DayZ server unless they generate a new GUID or buy a new copy of Arma2.

JSKIBO is an awesome Admin who is dedicating his time and money so that players like us have servers to play on. I applaud him for publishing a verified cheaters GUID on the forums.

C'mon now. No offense to Rocket's Dev team, but they don't care. They are sitting on a gold mine. They are probably in meetings all day really planning the future of this game. You think they will sit there and read logs all day? There are probably 50+ posts about hackers a day. C'mon mate, they haven't even fixed debug or zombies, or backpacks eating items. They haven't responded to my friend's multiple messages regarding hosting. He owns a huge game hosting company and hosts Arma 2 servers and has many great ideas that he has shared with them about the game and hive and could provide hundreds of servers. 1 month and 6 emails later, not a word from the devs.

They have MUCH bigger fish to fry and better ways to spend their time.

I don't think we elected someone here that can judge who needs to be spam-banned via this forum. The report are sent privately to the devs, then the devs can eventually publish those GUID's, after they have verified that it belongs to a cheater/hacker. If the devs have no time for this, then blame them.

Thats not fair. If someone who is paying for a server that you play on wants to help other server owners maintain hacker free servers by posting confirmed hacker GUIDs, more power to them. I suppose it is up to other server owners to ban those GUIDs at the moment, and obviously getting them blacklisted from the Hive and mod all together would be the ultimate goal, but far from a priority for the devs.

Their is this strange Admin witch hunt going on that I can't explain. Half of these cheat reports point fingers at admin without a shred of evidence. Why would someone who is paying money to host this game deter other players from playing on it? I think that a vast majority of server owners believe in the mod and have its best interests in mind, and hacking is contrary to that.
