fish911503 136 Posted July 14, 2012 Someone posted somewhere else somthing that made sense about all this craziness. MAYBE...just maybe all this craziness is due to the fact that there is zero organization around dayz servers. You thousands of servers all running different versions of the mod with different beta patches and different options And god knows what "messed with". Add 600,000 players all reporting their glitches and bugs across all these servers. How the fuck is anything supposed get fixed? How do you know if something is an actual bug or just a compatability issue? It seems it just creates a big cluster fuck where its impossible to isolate problems and fixing an issue on one server creates chaos on 100 others. Seriously....how the fuck can shit get fixed with so many rogue variables? Really. can someone explain it to me?
Slyguy65 499 Posted July 14, 2012 I see your point, but its not a big a cluster fuck as i think you make it out to be since 70% of servers are up to date on average. There are a few private, out of date, or illegal servers for people with cracked versions of the game (so ive heard...but i stil dont buy the fact that some peopel could make online lobbies for cracked versions since in my experience cracked games are impossible to play multiplayer with except over virtual LAN. Only about 30% are running 1.7.2.3 and a good percentage of those have conflicting beta patches. And then theres US folks reporting the issues who Id bet half of which dont know what the fuck theyre running. Edited July 14, 2012 by playZ
Slyguy65 499 Posted July 14, 2012 well take into account what happened recently...there were two patches almost back to back...also there was like a hiatus of patching after 1.7.5 and then all of a sudden we get 1.7.2 and .3 back to back which btw is kind of backwards (literally) so just give it a week to adjust then you will see most are up to date and the minority will be running older versions (usually on purpose)
