Different chemlight colors?

Yeah, this is a low-priority idea, but I was just curious if other chemlight colors could be implimented in the game: yellow, white and infrared.

IR chemlights can only be seen my NVG's and are generally used as markers.

You mean besides the red, green and blue ones that already exist? Are you sure IR chem lights even exist?

I'm sure they do. IR is light, no different to red, green, or blue. But I think they'd be complex to code for the very few people that have NVGs. I am content with the chemlights we have now.

I like the idea of variable length chem lights. Some of those last 12 hours. They'd be a great way to mark a trail for a friend to follow, or to lure curious survivors into a trap (assuming you can place them down, I haven't tried my chemlights yet).

IR chems exist, and there is a pretty wide variety of colours for the visible light ones. I have an orange and a green kicking around here somewhere.

Absolutely support different durations, though. The ones I have are 12-hour, and finally lose their illumination totally after about a day. I've seen some last several.

IR chemlights do exist in RL. IR wavelength light is already implemented in vanilla Arma engine - this is a military simulator based game after all (IR strobes, IR laser on guns are in vanilla, IR chemlights are in ACE, IIRC)
