Hello there

I Installed Arma 2 and Arma 2 Combined Operations today and wanted to play DayZ for the first time.

I downloaded the Six Updater und startet running it.

It found the game and i presst verify and everything was good i thought.

So i presst lanch and then this error appered: Addon 'dayz_anim' requires addon 'CA_Missions_BAF_2'

i presst ok and the game starts

its loading and then i am here

still is everything fine i think.

then i press enter and the game loads

then i can see for a secound the landscape and the names of the players and then it crashes back to desktop and it says that Amrma 2 combined operations doesnt work anymore

I need help please !

When i start Arma 2 CO everything is fine

I had the issue wiht the endless loading screen but i fixed it with the new battleeye files.

I am running it on Windowes 7

See what applies to you and try following the installation instructions. I'm fairly certain it can be fixed by copying the addon folder... somewhere, but I'm too tired atm to figure it out for you so goodluck. xP

I had this error after installing some DLCs.

I found out (thanks Ski) that every time you install one part of Arma 2 you need to patch it to the lastest version then open it and run a mission in the game to let it load the modules. You don't need to reinstall. This should prevent the errors when launching DayZ.

Install Arma 2, patch it, open it and run a mission/armoury etc.

Install Operation Arrowhead, patch it, open it and run a mission/armoury etc. (OA/CO patch)

Install PMC, patch it, open it and run a mission/armoury etc. (PMC patch)

Install BAF, patch it, open it and run a mission/armoury etc. (BAF patch)

Solved. Installing OA patch 1.60 over the newer 1.72 worked. It didn't even recognized that there was a newer version installed. However, it works now. Thanks for your replies.

Yes it worked :)

the error is gone now but as soon as i join the game and everything loads it crashes back to desktop and tells me that the games isent responding :(

What should i do ?

PS: Should i install a new beta patch and if yes wich version should i download to play with the other guys ?
