Xx_KO_REY_MO_xX 0 Posted May 18, 2012 So as we all know rocket is planning on scrapping the current bandit/survivor humanity system and adding new skins. Now even tho I think this is an awesome idea Im skeptical on how everyone is going to react to this change when there is no penalty for committing murder and after Some after playing some me3 last night I thought to my self.... how about we add facial scars? Now before you all pull out the pitch forks and run me out of the forum let me explain how I think this can work.A)your scars get thicker and more profound the more crimes you commitB)your scars DO NOT reset after death C)your scars will heal over time if you don't commit any crimes D) you scars will heal if you do good E) you can't get points from the same player over a 48 hour period to avoid ppl from abusing the system I think this is a good way of implementing the humanity system because you still get that strong feeling of tension when you see another player because you can't tell if he's friendly just by what hes wearing but once you get close and and he hasn't shown any hostility you have to decide if you want to trust him or blow him away based on how he looks So what do you guys think yay or nay? wallace71 3 Posted May 19, 2012 liking the basic idea of this, BUT if you're observing someone from far away, scars are harder to see without a pair of bins or a scoped rifle. something more relating to clothing perhaps? like a slow deterioration from survivor to bandit? this would distinguish the true bandits from the self defense banditos like myself. Bandit Hunter 29 Posted May 19, 2012 Scars would be nearly impossible to see in nearly all situations, without becoming a lead magnet first. They would also do the exact same thing as the bandit skin, minus ever being useful to survivors looking to gauge intentions.Scars would be difficult to implement using what already exists in ARMA.And to the above post, changing a bit of clothing would just be enhancing the system already being removed. trauma.au 14 Posted May 19, 2012 Custom faces would prob override it. Sounds like too much work for too little gain.
