Waiting for host FIX (worked for me)

This a timeline of my patching process.

Manually downloaded/installed full install of patch via .torrent (here)

Manually downloaded/installed latest beta patch 94945

Got waiting on host errors

This error occurs with the latest beta patch, revert to 94876:

• Download the beta patch (here)
  
• Extract anywhere
  
• Run the .exe (as administrator of course)
  
• Run the game, join server (if it fails on the first attempt, try one more server just to make sure
  

If this doesn't work, post step by step what you did and we'll figure it out.

If you're using the six updater, try downloading/putting the files in the folder manually. If not, just advise.

I followed all your instructions but for some reason My Arma 2 won't update to 1.61.94876. Im stuck on 1.60.94700

Im not getting stuck on the Waiting for Host, I am connecting ( or so it seems) and getting stuck on the Loading Screen. The bar fills up, and for a brief moment I can hear ambient sounds and what sounds like a broken bone crunch and then nothing. Just sits there on loading screen for ever.

When I tried downgrading it says something like the patch 1.62 is newer than 1.61. Any way past this? Been at this "Wait for host" crap all day...

Waiting for password? I believe you're clicking the wrong link. The link on the top of the page doesn't have login/pw req.

Had the waiting for host issue today. What worked for me was to...wait for host. Less than 5 minutes (that felt like an hour), voila, ingame.
